The Aquicuana Reserve (Área Protegida y Reserva Natural Aquicuana) is an area of incredible biodiversity, and is located 20 kilometers from the city of Riberalta in the Beni Department of the Bolivian Amazon.
The 20,000 hectares consist of a thick native rainfores, majestic lake and a huge biodiversity of diverse living species.
With a tropical climate, the Aquicuana Reserve is unsurprisingly hot and humid. This area has dry season and a rainy season.
The heaviest rains are between December to February, the driest period is between April to November; although even during that time there can still be some few rain – there is always a fair chance to get wet when visiting a rainforest.
Aquicuana Reserve has warm temperatures throughout the whole year, with the statistically hottest months being August and September. However, temperatures vary between average maximum temperatures of 29 to 35 degrees to average minimum temperatures from 18 to 23 degrees.
