Aquicuana Reserve rainforest is partly tropical evergreen forest and partly tropical rainforest. A study of flora and fauna rates the northern Amazon region as “very high biodiversity ”estimating that there are about 800 species of trees (up to 200-250 sp./ha) making it one of the most bio-diverse areas.
